V1425 Aquilae = Nova Aquila 1995

A finding chart for V1425 Aql

SkyView image of V1425 Aql (see important notes)

Position
  • Equatorial: 19h 05m 26.65s, -01d 42m 03.39s (J2000)
  • Galactic: l=33.01, b=-03.89
Finding Chart:
None in literature?
Brigntness:
Optical ; fx (2-10 keV)~?
Periods:
  • Orbital: 0.2558 d = 6.1392 hr = 22101 s, seen in optical photometry
    HJD(min) = 2450202.566(2)+0.2558(1)E
    (Retter et al 1998).
  • Spin: 0.06005 d = 86.472 min = 5188.3 s, see in optical photometry.
    HJD(min) = 2450202.664(7)+0.06005(1)E
    (Retter et al 1998)
  • Others: 0.079 d period also seen in optical photometry.
Inclination:
?
Distance:
3.6-4.8 kpc.

Extensive optical photometry in 1996 reveals a triple preiodicity, making this a candidate to be an Old Nova/IP.
