A finding chart for RX J2133

SkyView image of RX J213344.1+510725 (see important notes).

Position
Finding Chart:
Motch et al. 1998
Brigntness:
Optical: B~15.8; X-rays: 0.42 c/s ROSAT PSPC.
Periods:
  • Orbital: 0.2997 d = 7.1935 hr = 25896.7 s, from optical spectroscopy.
    HJD = 2453208.1428(28) + 0.29973(67)E
    (Bonnet-Bidaud et al. 2006) for blue-to-red crossing of emission lines.
  • Spin: 0.0066067 d = 9.51365 min = 570.8189 s, seen in optical and X-ray photometry.
    HJD = 2452876.94785(3) + 0.0066067(2)E
    for the optical maxima.
  • Others:
Inclination:
<45 deg
Distance:
>600 pc

Orbital and spin periods appear to be secure, given the lengths of observing runs relative to the infered periods. The same spin period is also seen in XMM X-ray data (presented at the XMM conference in 2005 September).
