8 January 2010 I gave a talk about the dark gamma-ray burst GRB 090417B and its host galaxy at the American Astronomical Society meeting in Washington, DC.
1 May 2009 Swift discovered the most distant known object in the Universe, a gamma-ray burst at a redshift of z = 8.1. This corresponds to about 641 million years after the Big Bang. GRB 090423 Swift Composite Image
