What's happening with XANADU
- There was a recent XANADU release for Unix and VMS. This
includes XSPEC v8.50, XIMAGE v2.50a, XRONOS v4.02. It is available
from the legacy anonymous ftp site in
software/xanadu.
- If you want to be on the mailing list for XANADU announcements
then send mail to listserv@athena.gsfc.nasa.gov with the sole
contents of the message being
subscribe XANADU Your Name
- XRONOS is being converted to ftools for XTE.
- New XSPEC features for the next release include :
- goodness command to calculate goodness-of-fit for the
C-statistic (using Monte Carlo methods).
- FITS formats for the files used by the table and
the Raymond-Smith models.
- An unlimited number of table models can be used
simultaneously.
