Questions Generated from Use Cases for U1, U2, U14, A1, A5.
A. General Questions
- Can we assume CALDB is locally installed on the user's machine? (could
be large).
- Source files? What format should these be in and which programs need
to read/write them?
- Binning services which tools need binning and how should this be achieved?
B. Tool specific questions
- Does U1 really need to know anything about Pulsar phase or should this
cut be done with U2?
- Is U2 expected to do binning?
- Can U1 and U2 be made the same? (Bob: not inclined to do that
? U2 must support many plotting options & isexpected to read and write
FITS files ? U1 may not even touch the FITS files - depending on implementation.
- Do we really need U1 to run on Users machine?
- A1. What intermediate data products need to be writeable? (e.g., Exposure
matrix, residuals map, Npred, Likelihood map)
- U14. (DRM gen) GRB coordinate questions:
- should we add the option to specify GRB location in sky coordinates?
- Will another tool specify GRB location in detector coordinates?
- Does U14 calculate it for him/her?
- Do we want U14 to calculate orbital average of burst location?
- Do we want U14 to calculate orbital average of instrument response?
- One minute of duration corresponds to about 4 degree in angle. Is it
small enough to ignore scanning motion of the instrument?
