RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr. Figueroa's research interests have been centered on the development
of X-ray astronomical instrumentation. In the Laboratory for High Energy
Astrophysics he has been involved with
Constellation-X (main
instrument design, testing and modeling), the X-ray Quantum
Calorimeter rocket payload (operation, calibration, and launch),
and Astro-E2
(calibration, analysis, and modeling). He is also interested in the Sunyaev-Zel'dovich
Effect
(SZE) and Cosmology.
