Type
Observational: X-ray spectroscopy and photometry.
Object(s)
UU Col.
Results
X-ray power spectrum is dominated by the 863 s spin signal, but the 3.5 h orbital and the 935 s beat signals are also seen (disk overflow accretion). UV and optical modulations are anti-phased. X-ray spectrum can be fitted with 0.2 keV and 11 keV optically thin emission and a 50 eV blackbody, whose ratio is consistent with expectations. Magnetic field is too weak for UU Col to evolve int a polar.
