Eracleous et al 1994
- Bibinfo (this paper at ADS)
- Eracleous, M., Horne, K., Robinson, E.L., Zhang, E.H., Marsh, T.R,
Wood, J.H. 1994, ApJ 433, 313-331.
- Type
- Observational: Time-resolved UV spectroscopy and optical photometry.
- Object(s)
- AE Aqr.
- Results
- Strong (40%), double-peaked 33s pulsation found in the UV, with
same shape and phasing as the optical. Phase delay curve establishes
the white dwarf origin of the pulses, consistent with a 26,000 K white
dwarf photospheric emission. UV emission lines appear unpulsed. Flares
do not appear to affect the amplitudes and profiles of the pulses.
