IPs and IP Candidates

For a cataclysmic variable to be confirmed as an Intermediate Polar, a persistent and stable spin (i.e., non-orbital) periodicity must be demonstrated. X-ray spin modulation is a great plus, without which the onus is on the optical observers to demonstrate the stability of the signal.
