AGN Research Areas

AGN Research within the X-ray Branch

Scientists within the X-ray Branch of the LHEA are active in all areas of research of the X-ray emission of AGN, including:

Ionized or "warm" absorbers in Seyfert Galaxies and Quasars
Reprocessing: Complex Fe-K emission and Compton Reflection in Seyfert Galaxies and Quasars
BL Lacs & Blazars
The Contribution of AGN to the Cosmic X-ray Background
LINERs and Low-luminosity AGN

Non-experts may wish to also visit StarChild (ages <14) or our Learning Center (ages 14 & up). Both these sites provide a wealth of information of all areas of high energy astrophysics, the satellites used and many other goodies for both students and teachers.
