Koji Mukai

Koji is a USRA research scientist at the Laboratory for High Energy Astrophysics at the NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center.

Responsibilities

Research Interests

Studies of accreting binaries, in particular magnetic cataclysmic variables, using multiwavelength observations and X-ray spectroscopy. See my research interest page for more.

Education and Public Outreach

Koji is a member of the Imagine the Universe! team, and currently coordinates its Ask a High Energy Astronomer service.

He also directed the development (by Maggie Masetti) of the Astro-E Learning Center and is heavily involved in the Astro-E2 E/PO activities.

If you're travelling to ISAS...

Koji has also acted as an unofficial tour guide and/or helped book hotels near ISAS on many occasions, and started a travel guide page.
